Tomas Hruby

Tomas is originally from Czechia but has spent his working life in Christchurch and has been with Truscott Hamilton for nearly thirty years. He enjoys the variety of general Optometry and practice management. He regards himself as a professional Optometrist and amateur golfer.

Jenny Walker

BOptom. CertOcTherapeutics

Jenny is Canterbury born and bred and has worked in central Christchurch and in her own practice in Papanui. She joined Tomas at Truscott Hamilton in 2020. After nearly 40 years of practise, Jenny always finds something new to learn but is surprised by nothing. She graduated from Auckland University with Catherine.

Catherine Small

Catherine is the newest addition to Truscott Hamilton. She is an experienced and qualified paediatric Optometrist and divides her time between this practice and a paediatric Ophthalmology clinic. She brings years of knowledge of myopia control and paediatric Optometry to Truscott Hamilton. Catherine is also an independent glaucoma prescriber. She has worked in Auckland and Wellington but spent the last 30 years in Canterbury.

Cherie Carter

CertIV Optical Dispensing
Ngāi Tahu, Te Rarawa, Ngāpuhi

Cherie has been in the optical industry since she was 19. She started as an optical courier on a bicycle, (yes, really) and has spent years in optical laboratories and practices. Her encyclopedic knowledge of lens design and frames mean no query is too difficult. Cherie and Catherine have worked together for over 20 years.
